About

Hello, my name is Steve. I retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2015, and I now reside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Shortly after we all emerged from the COVID lockdown, I began venturing out and going on hikes and adventures. It became my mission to explore as much as I can, travel whenever possible, try many different types of food, do good things for the environment and, above all, meet as many people as I can along the way.

I have a wide array of interests, and this website will house the highlights of the many things that I enjoy doing, from hiking and traveling to gardening, photography, and hoping to build my own homestead someday. I also enjoy cooking and barbecuing (maybe one day I will upload my recipes on here as well.) With that said, I thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you’ll join me on my journey as I navigate through it all.

Why I Blog?

  • Mainly, the purpose is to learn from my experiences. Often, I come across beautiful destinations that I would like to recommend or even take my friends and family to visit. This blog will help me collect and provide more information for them or for you to plan a better trip and make the experience better.
  • This blog will serve as a reminder of my adventures and to keep me inspired to go out there and do more.
  • To share my experiences and hopefully inspire others to start their own journey and document their fun adventures.
  • I Hope to provide valuable information for someone who is also planning their own travel.
  • I want to improve on my storytelling and writing skills.

Enrich your life with inspiring new experiences while meeting awesome people and making lifelong friends. Travel often and immerse yourself in your destination’s local culture, indulge in the exotic cuisine, explore the stunning landscapes and make lasting memories with loved ones and acquaintances.

I enjoy going on new adventures and sharing my experiences. I also love creating and up-cycling stuff. I find joy in arts and crafts, traveling, hiking, cooking, and above all, meeting people.
