Philippines: Bantay, Ilocos Sur

In December 2022, we went on a long overdue family vacation from Seattle, Washington to the beautiful Philippine Islands. Our destination was my hometown of Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

We started our journey by boarding our flight from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. From there, we flew for more than 13-hours straight to Taipei, South Korea where we caught our connecting flight to Manila, Philippines. After clearing customs, we stepped out into the warm humid air and to meet with my uncle who owned and operated the bus company that took us from the airport to Bantay, Ilocos Sur and that was another ten plus hours drive.
